ENAR is seeking a consultant with extensive research and data analysis skills to develop an online survey with the support of ENAR staff. This online survey will aim to gather information on the experiences of racial discrimination of migrants, asylum seekers and refugees in five European countries: Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy and Sweden. In addition it will aim to better identify the issues faced by all recent migrants in terms of the barriers to integration/inclusion and discrimination. Potential areas to be covered by the survey include: reception of migrants, early integration and full integration. The results of this research will provide important empirical data that will inform the development of ENAR’s advocacy activities.
ENAR has extensive expertise in the area of racial discrimination, integration and migration and aims to build on this knowledge with the development of this short-term research project. The project will be implemented between January and September 2017.

Designing an online survey and identifying appropriate survey methods
Testing the survey to ensure that the questions will be understood
Accounting for and solving problems caused by non-respondents or other sampling issues

2. The successful candidate will have:
A higher university degree (MSc/PhD) or equivalent experience
Excellent statistical skills, experience of designing surveys and undertaking statistical analyses using large datasets
Expertise in equality and non-discrimination, migration/integration and/or related issues and a good understanding of EU legal instruments and EU institutions
